MurAll DAO Launch: Empowering Community Decision-Making

We’re thrilled to announce the official launch of the MurAll DAO, a major milestone in our commitment to community governance and decentralization. The MurAll DAO empowers our community to actively participate in decision-making, ensuring that the future of our platform reflects the collective vision and values of our members. This article outlines our journey towards full community control and presents the proposal guidelines for active participation.

Empowering Community Governance

At MurAll, we believe in the power of decentralized decision-making. The launch of the MurAll DAO marks a significant shift towards empowering our community members to have a direct say in shaping the future of our platform. We understand the importance of community involvement and the value it brings to fostering a vibrant and inclusive ecosystem.

Roadmap to Full Decentralization

We are committed to achieving full decentralization of the treasury, and our roadmap reflects this vision. To ensure a smooth and secure transition, we have been rigorously testing the Gnosis Safe plugin within Snapshot on the demo version using the testnet. With this plugin, proposals can include transaction information for the treasury safe contract (including transfers of $PAINT from the treasury) that can be executed by anyone upon the proposal passing. This combination will enable transparent voting, proposal submission, and decision-making processes while ensuring the security and integrity of our ecosystem. We are currently conducting thorough testing on the demo version using the testnet to ensure a seamless and robust transition.

Proposal Guidelines for Community Participation

Going forward, given that use of PAINT doubles the voting power within the NFTs produced on MurAll, only members who hold enough PAINT for a 2 full coverages of MurAll (2097152 PAINT) or equivalent voting power in MurAll NFTs will be able to create proposals within the DAO. We welcome our community members to actively engage with the MurAll DAO by submitting proposals that align with our shared goals and values. To streamline the process and ensure clarity, we have established the following proposal guidelines:

1. All proposals must be submitted through the DAO proposal system on Snapshot.
2. Proposals must have a clear and concise title that reflects the purpose of the proposal.
3. Proposals should provide detailed information and rationale for the proposal, including any relevant background information, data, and supporting documentation.
4. Proposals must include a clear description of the desired outcome, including any milestones or deliverables that will be achieved.
5. Proposals should include a budget breakdown and funding request, where applicable.
6. Proposals should consider the long-term sustainability and impact of the proposal on the MurAll ecosystem.
7. Proposals should align with the values and mission of the MurAll community, including promoting artistic creativity and freedom of expression.
8. Proposals must adhere to any relevant laws and regulations.
9. Proposals must meet the minimum voting threshold of 1% of the total PAINT supply to be considered for voting.
10. Submitted proposals must allow at least 3 days before beginning a voting period to allow for community discussion and feedback.
